Llangollen Railway

Railcar services on the Llangollen Railway in 2008.

The pattern of services at Llangollen for 2008 is basically similar to that of previous years with the major alterations as listed below:-

1)      Railcar services are reduced mid-week during the early and late season and have been replaced with steam-operated "auto trains". Mid week services will work to a new D diagram which has four return trips instead of three.
2)      There are additional weekend railcar services alternating with steam working.
3)      The Gala has been moved to May 17^th and 18^th.

All services except Thomas and Galas will be worked by two-car units. Some Gala services will be 4-9 car formations.

The timings for our normal diagrams are as follows:-

Timetable B departs Llangollen at 10-30, 12-00, 14-00 and 16-00 and from Carrog at 11-15, 13-00, 15-00 and 17-00

Early and late "EL" diagram trains depart Llangollen at 10-30, Carrog at 11-15, Llangollen at 16-40 and Carrog at 17-30

Timetable D departs Llangollen at 11-00, 12-35, 14-10 and 15-45 with return journeys at 11-45, 13-20, 14-55 and 16-30
