M50447 remained a London Midland car all its life and worked for many years out of Buxton. It was later renumber 53447 and was painted blue. It was purchased as part of a 12-vehicle deal by members Kevin Dowd and Rob Simpson who had a particular interest in this class and was shipped to Llangollen in 1993 - initially intended for spares.
Since then it has found use as a headquarters coach for the Group and is based at the Glyndyfrdwy stabling point. It has been restored ( for the moment on one side only!) in its original colours and its condition may one day allow a return to running order.
It was built as part of lot no 30293.
